KANIN-SELLA NEVEA, SELLA NEVEA-CANIN
With new cableway in year 2010 KANIN-SELLA NEVEA ski resort became the first cross-border ski center in Slovenia.
The connected KANIN-SELLA NEVEA ski resort operates with a single ski pass, enabling access from both the Slovenian (Bovec) and Italian (Sella Nevea) sides.
Kanin-Sella Nevea is the only high-mountain ski resort in Slovenia where the trails rise over 2000 meters above sea level.
It lies above Bovec, a city on the banks of the Soča river.
Kanin-Sella Nevea is a mountain ski center where the skiing season lasts from December to the end of April.
Because of its high altitude, the pistes seldom freeze.
Sunny position is another feauture of Kanin, and it allows you to see all the way to the Alps as well as to the Adriatic sea.
If snow is plentiful, an experienced guide can take you on a ski tour through the Krnica valley.
A special attraction is the opportunity to ski in two other ski centers just across the border: Trbiž in Italy and Arnoldstein in Austria.
Guests who have bought a six- or seven-day Kanin skiing pass can ski for two days at these resorts with no extra charge.
